1. The two shots with the baby and the little girl were shot with FF bodies. The 24-105 may work on portraits ( due to being up close) but there have been mixed reviews about using EF lenses on crop bodies. As someone said the 85mm range would be best for portraits on a crop. Kent. A used EF 24-105 f/4 costs about the same as the rf 24-105mm f4-7.1. My gut feeling is to go for the EF, but what do you think? I was originally using the RF 24-105 kit for over a year before recently getting EF 24-105. I can say that I think the kit really does work well for a kit lens, and if you went that route you would still be pretty happy. 24-105mm, f/4-7.1: Minimum Focusing Distance Weight Approx. 0.87 lbs. / 395g: Warranty Info. To be honest, I thought the 24-70mm f/2.8L II would be easy to declare the winner and optically, it is the best of this list. However, the two f/4 lenses perform better in front of 50.6 megapixels than I expected. The f/2.8L II is slightly sharper over then
I would only recommend the RF 24-70 if you're a professional shooter. It's heavy and big, especially on the RP (it's more balanced on the larger bodied R6), and its ridiculously expensive. It has fantastic image quality, but Canon really did well with the RF 24-105 f4, and most people can't tell the difference between images created with the two.
