So basically I reset my password back in March but stupid me forgot to write it down and it's all but forgotten now. I did play GW2 briefly with my GW1 HoM hooked up to it, but I can't find the serial code anywhere, which you need for password reset. I submitted a support ticket, but I truly cannot find any information to speed up the process.

Here are the steps to setup email authentication on your account: Launch the Guild Wars 2 client and enter your ArenaNet account credentials. Press the LOG IN button. Next, you'll be prompted for a security code. Check your email for an email from ArenaNet ( noreply@guildwars2.com) which contains a five-digit number. This is your access code.
So I pretty much can't play until the GODS decide to answer my ticket and send me one of those mails. Arena Net, you need to improve your Account Recovery System. It's been awful for years. There is no reason at all for me not to have an option "Send me an email with a reset link" instead of being forced to use SMS recovery.
So I forgot my password. I can still play the game, because I set my game to remember my password, and I still have the my old phone which has the Google Authenticator on it. BUT. I have a new phone, and want to put the Google Authenticator on the new one. How do I do this? I just tried to log into the forums - but I've forgotten my password.
Hi, I have been having similar issues with the game the support is on a case by case issue also there has been some ways like contacting the GW2 account people and tell them about the issue and see if they can fix. If not there is a way that you purchase GW2 and sync both and reset password that way.
