4 days ago · The 2000-2006 Honda Civic 2.0 Type-R-MT is known for its impressive performance and power output, offering an exhilarating driving experience for enthusiasts. At the heart of this sporty coupe lies a high-revving four-cylinder engine with a displacement of 1998 cm³ (121.9 cu-in). The A2 is the 99-00 Si engine. Same as the A3 only this one came with an upgraded OBD2 emissions system that is mandatory for all 96+ civic swappers. The B16A1 could be had for around $1200. The B16A3 could be found for about $2000-$2500 and the newer B16A2 could be found for around $2500-$3000. The Integra Type S shares the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder VTEC engine with the Civic Type R, but it dials up the output to 320 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. The Civic Type R crate engine will retail for $6,790, while the Controls package will set you back another $2,210. Of course, quite a few additional parts will be needed for the installation, but Honda says its instruction manual will provide guidance in setting up things like a fuel system, turbo plumbing, and exhaust, to name a few.
