Ford have failed to provide a good diagnosis despite me giving them £200. I have a load of intermittent failures in the cabin - stereo, dash gauges, climate, windows, warning lights, you name it they intermittently fail usually every 20 minutes or so driving. Ford think it might be the body control module, but aren't really sure. My car Mondeo MK5 2.0 TDCi (132 kW) has random problems with losing power, right after changing gear (such a random turbo hole). Sometimes the problem does not occur, car drives very well, other times, after pressing the gas, it catches resistance for a moment, and after short moment it is fine. I have no errors, DTCes, checkengins etc Chris from Bideford with a Ford Mondeo MK3 2.2 TDCi 155 said: Fitted without a problem and noticed an immediate improvement in performance and economy. My fuel economy went from an average of about 43mpg to about 53mpg and has been as high as 56.1mpg (at best).
Sedan Ford Mondeo 2005 2.0 TDCi has been produced from May, 2005 to January, 2006. It has diesel engine with displacement of 2.0 litres, which produces power of 115 horsepower on 3950 rpm and torque 280 Nm (Newton metres) on 1900 revolutions per minute. Ford Mondeo 2005 2.0 TDCi has front wheel drive (FWD) and automatic gearbox with 5 gears.
Have this problem with me mondy 2.0 TDCi 130ps duratorq 6 speed euro 3, when i floor it past 1800 or 2000 rpm i loose power for about 500 rpm then it regains itself, i.e rev counter goes from 2000rpm then sort of jumps to 2500-3000rpm then speed catches up, flat spot is it called.. ? sorry,..
The only thing wrong with the Ford/PSA unit is that it is belt cam increasing running costs, the fact is both the Ford/Jag and Ford/PSA units are vastly more refined than any VW/Audi 4 cyl diesel including the 2.0 as well as being just as efficient and, it seems, no less reliable.
