The Bowers & Wilkins PX5 headphones are substantial. You know when you place these on your head that they are not a discount pair of headphones. Of course, they shouldn’t feel cheap, because they’re not. At $299.00, are they worth the investment? The boxing is impressive, with the headphones secured in their own padded layer.
Tried them today, and good lord, this is a completely different pair of headphones. Much more balanced, very much in line with B&W's sound signature. Bass is present, of course, but doesn't overwhelm the soundstage, unlike the previous pair. Am I crazy in thinking B&W has iterated on the PX7 line since releasing them, quietly "fixing" it?
